This tour really showcases what Dunedin has to offer. It was well put together, time managed, and thought out with heaps of hidden gems uncovered. The photo stops were executed well with enough time to capture all the amazing views. The all-inclusive gin tasting and lunch were the cherry on top, with the lunch pre-ordered and ready to serve on arrival. I’d highly recommend this to anyone who wants to see what Dunedin is all about!

We were picked up on time in Dunedin and taken around local sites including a distillery. Although we are from Dunedin we were taken to some places we had not seen before, including a view of Cargills Castle and coastline, views across the Taieri Plains and Mosgiel which were all really good.
The Lunch at The Black Sheep went down a treat and the Saddle Hill Distillery and Brewery was also a nice inclusion with some great tasting gins. Overall a great day with friends.

What a fabulous tour I experienced today with my friends. It was a dark and gloomy day weather wise but that didn’t impede on our tour at all. Our knowledgeable hosts Trev and Tracey guided us around the city showcasing what Dunedin has to offer in there very comfortable van. The sound system was clear and they were excellent at answering my questions as we bounced around to each location. There commentary complement each other, they had an awesome working ethos and knew how to make the tour fun for us. There was plenty of time at each stop to capture photos of the memories we were creating.
So many highlights for me but my Top 3 would be the Saddle Hill Distillery tasting. The gin was next level and Ben did a wonderful job at sharing his back-story of his distillery. They also had beer as well. The food at the Black Sheep exceeded my expectations. I devoured the Pork Belly. Yummo. As I looked around what my friends ordered. Everything looked incredible. Lastly Baldwin St was so much fun walking up in the rain was a neat experience. Thank you so much for a fabulous day out.

What a great way to see Dunedin! It really felt like being shown around the town by our ‘local friends’. Dunedin has so many contrasts, from the beach to really steep hills, from busy town to farm and bushland but all very close. The distillery visit was a highlight and such a good ‘non-touristy’ thing to do, and lunch was so good. Really enjoyed Baldwin Street, the world’s steepest street!

Absolutely fantastic day seeing the sights of Dunedin, especially enjoyed the visit to the brewery and distillery. The included lunch was superb and a great venue! We visited several viewpoints providing stunning views across the Taieri plains and St. Clair Beach, views across the city from Signal Hill. Excellent commentary provided by the driver on some of the history of the city, it’s buildings and people. Highly recommended.

Saw some amazing buildings (Railway Station and Cargills Castle), some amazing views (Signal Hill and the Taeiri Plains), and had some amazing gin at the Saddle Hill Distillery! All in all, a pretty damn good day trip around Dunedin

A wonderful tour of some well-known and lesser-known places of interest around New Zealand’s Edinburgh of the South.
The tour guide’s commentary was a perfect blend of Dunedin’s rich history and a splash of humour with room for questions – thanks Trev! Great value for money with transport, sight-seeing, photo opportunities, lunch, gin and beer tasting all included at a very reasonable price. Will definitely recommend to family and friends visiting – the premier derriere tour of Dunedin!
We had a great time – thanks for having us, Ramsbottom Tours!

Trev our tour guide was fun and my friends and I had a lovely time, being shown around different spots across Dunedin. There is minimal walking so the tour is highly accessible to a wide range of people. My favourite spot was the Saddle Hill Brewery & Distillery, where we got to taste some gin and beer.

A Fantastic Day Exploring Dunedin
We had a wonderful time on our Ramsbottom tour! The itinerary was perfectly balanced with a mix of sightseeing, a fascinating gin brewery visit, and a delicious lunch. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging, making the day both informative and enjoyable.
The Dunedin sites were stunning, and the gin tasting experience was a highlight. We particularly appreciated the leisurely pace and great timekeeping of the tour, allowing us ample time to explore and soak in the atmosphere.
While the views on the drive were lovely, it was much better to get out of the van for the full breathtaking experience.
We highly recommend Ramsbottom Tours for anyone visiting Dunedin!
